A Chinese company expanding operations into South Africa is urgently looking for an experienced and reliable person to fill the position of retail property manager in Sandton.
Job responsibilities:
- Build relationships with property owners.
- Negotiate new leases and lease renewals at most advantageous rates.
- Present and motivate space opportunities.
- Retailer property strategies & expansion including sourcing of suitable premises, negotiating and conclusion of lease agreements.
- Retail property management consulting to landlords.
- Retail layout, design and tenant mix consulting: new retail developments.
- Tenant mix strategies for existing and new shopping centres.
Job requirements:
- Diploma degree - major: Marketing or Project Management.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in retail industry as a store development or business development position.
- Have existing contacts with shopping malls.
- Proven leadership.
- Understanding of legislation and regulation.
- Willingness to travel extensively.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Budgeting and project estimation skills.
- Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Valid driver’s license and own vehicle.
