Job description
You support the Performance & Reward Director in the development and execution of a Reward and Recognition strategy that balances employee engagement and organisation profitability. You drive the operational execution of the annual regular remuneration review process and all other reward and recognition initiatives. You are a trusted advisor regarding reward & recognition to business leadership and HR Directors. You also lead the strategy, design, development and drive the implementation of a comprehensive organisational design framework for the organisation. Drive and continuously improve a standardised approach together with the relevant processes, tools and guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Support the development, execution and communication of Reward & Recognition strategy and policies for the organisation and other international entities
- Conduct and coordinate remuneration (guaranteed package, Short-Term and Long-term Incentive schemes) benchmark exercises
- Initiate the remuneration review process (including Short-Term and Long-term Incentive schemes) and communicate timeframes with the HR Community
- Build reward capability within the HR Community
- Collate remuneration data, finalise agenda items, prepare and distribute reports and packs for different stakeholders (e.g. Remco, ExCo)
- Conduct regular reviews of fixed and variable pay scheme rules and oversee administration thereof
- Ensure the correct interpretation and compliance with applicable legislation (e.g. BCEA, UIF, Tax etc.), terms and conditions of employment contracts
- Manage expatriate remuneration
- Keep up to date with the relevant legislation and best practice with a view ensuring that all relevant Tiger Brands policies are up-to-date and templates are compliant
- Manage online compensation management system
- Be accountable for the design and development of the organisational design practices and standards in the organisation.
- Design and deliver organisational design solutions to meet the business needs and responding to the changing macro and micro environment.
- Upskill and create toolkits to ensure the HR community and managers understand the organisational design methodology, governance and principles for the organisation.
- Govern the organisational design framework
- Manage staff establishment and head count reporting across the group
- Commercial B Degree or similar
- Minimum of 10 years relevant work experience
- GRP ceritification
- Deep understanding of different compensation / recognition elements and the options to shape them
- Experience in managing variable pay schemes
- Strong and proven financial acumen
