The successful candidate will be responsible for selecting and purchasing quality products for our retail business clients. The ideal candidate will have an eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and a passion for keeping up with industry trends and demands.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Evaluate and negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers based on quality, delivery, and price.
- Analyze industry trends and customer demand to determine the appropriate assortment of products.
- Forecast purchasing needs based on historical data, market trends, and expected sales.
- Collaborate with merchandising and sales teams to ensure inventory levels meet demand.
- Work with marketing team to develop effective promotional strategies.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of orders, shipments, and deliveries.
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in retail buying or related field.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory management systems.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Passion for staying up-to-date with industry trends and demands.
