Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Safety Advisor to join our Project Management team. Our PMT is renowned for delivering top-tier capital projects, and the Safety Advisor will be central to maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance across our diverse and complex projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and report on contractor compliance with Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements.
- Conduct safety briefings and pre-construction meetings to emphasize construction execution safety standards.
- Track and analyze Key Performance Indicators to identify improvement opportunities in safety performance.
- Develop and deliver safety training programs.
- Offer advice and consultation to ensure a safe working environment, in line with environmental/safety regulations and standards.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop controls for workplace hazards.
- Conduct site inspections to audit physical conditions and work practices.
- Provide guidance on corporate safety regulations and procedures.
- Perform safety compliance inspections and prepare detailed reports and recommendations.
- Develop safety orientations and training materials, and conduct specialized training sessions.
- Assist in new employee safety orientations and participate in safety committee meetings.
- Analyze incident data to formulate corrective actions to minimize hazards.
- Recommend safety equipment and implement corporate safety and environmental requirements.
- Willingness to relocate to Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, safety engineering, industrial hygiene, environmental science, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
- Twelve (12) years of experience in heavy construction safety, ideally in the oil/gas or petrochemical construction industry.
- Proven ability in delivering hands-on health, safety, and environmental training.
- Strong capabilities in developing and implementing comprehensive health and safety programs.
- Excellent communication skills for effective training, presentations, and report writing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with HSE standards, concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Ability to work effectively at all organizational levels and in diverse teams.
