Job responsibilities:
- Ensure Quality, Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental systems are in compliance.
- Monitoring compliance OSHAS 18001, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, Saint –Gobain Standards, legal requirement and ensure recommendations or deviations are closed out promptly.
- Improve systems processes use in the Factory to tangibly change the safety culture leading to informed compliance by employees. This done by conducting systems self-check audits, and health and safety audits.
- Extensively use networking platforms to gain new thinking and ways in SHE
- Any reasonable tasks given from time to time
- Ensure compliance to Railway Safety Regulations and that applicable reports and communication is completed timely.
- Where necessary, provide for the training of employees and contractors e.g. induction.
Job requirements:
- Engineering will be an advantage.
- Engineering Maintenance skills and experience (Artisan Background)
- SAMTRAC, Supervisor Safety Course – Team Leadership,
- At least 3 years relevant experience within Health and Safety, preferably within manufacturing environment
- Occupational Health and Safety Act training
- Incident Investigation and SHE auditing training
- Microsoft (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) knowledge
- Excellent people interaction skills.
