Job Purpose
- To assist in driving company strategic sales and marketing objectives.
- To achieve sales budgets(volume and revenue targets) through effective strategic action involving customer relations, effective communication and product strategies.
- To effectively operate and control the sales territory/segment and customer portfolio.
- To market the companys product and services to the allocated customers/segment according to company strategic imperatives and with the Sales Managers guidance.
Qualifications required to fulfil the role
- Matric with Maths and Science
- Recognised business qualification e.g Sales & Marketing Diploma
- 5 years experience in construction(Waterproofing Specifically), technical selling/ site management experience.
- Professional selling & negotiation skills experience.
- Key accounts management experience.
- Credit Control Management Facilitation.
- Computer Literacy (SAP and MS Office) and ability to analyze data experience essential.
- Accuracy and pay great attention to detail.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings will be an added advantage.
- Teamwork is essential due to remoteness team.
- Good planning and organisational skills to ensure workloads are managed effectively.
- Establish, build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders (internally & externally).
- Sound administrative and organisational skills.
- Initiative and enthusiasm.
- Valid Drivers license.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop and service the allocated territory and customer portfolio, e.g achieving territory budget targets and growth expectations
- Implement sales strategies for the territory and sales channels/segment as agreed with the Sales Manager
- Proactively seek new business opportunities and identify new needs and wants in the marketplace (Entrepreneurial spirit)
- Ensure a.b.e.-Weber pricing strategy is followed and profitability targets are met
- Drive a.b.e.-Weber specifications with the influencers i.e. Architects, Engineers, QS, etc.
- The compilation and submission of monthly/quarterly sales reports and volume forecasts and advise the Sales Manager of changing market conditions
- The regular reporting of market information encompassing inter alia customers, competitors, economic and credit information
- The timeous submission of all monthly sales reports(including customer visit reports and weekly call planning schedules)
- The protection and maintenance of the relevant market share in the respective segment
- Maintain good and effective internal & external communication
- Facilitate all customer product quality complaints and back-up services
- Maintain and safeguard company property and the confidentiality of the company information and affairs
- Participate in stock take when necessary
- Accurate product forecasts to minimize working capital requirements
- Maintain all systems and procedures of the company including awareness of the credit status of the customers
- Adhere to the laid down levels of expenditure at all times
- Maintain all approved policies of the company
- Adhere to the company Safety Standards
- Participate in regular local sales meetings to foster good internal relations, team work and performance excellence
- Improve company image by networking and being actively involved in applicable functions and technical seminars
- Set a high standards of performance by observing the correct attitude and behaviour
