In February 2019, SensePost became a part of Orange Cyberdefense Europes leading go-to security services provider. We are currently looking for a Sales Account Manager located in South Africa around the Pretoria/Johannesburg region to join our team!
This position should be able to work under pressure and as part of a highly motivated team. Liaison with internal staff and customers must be maintained on a professional level at all times. Candidate must be pro-active and focused on developing new business relationships and generating business from existing strategic accounts. Core focus of the incumbent of this position is responsible for the sales and new business development of the service offerings of Orange Cyberdefense. The role involves developing new business in new and existing accounts (where Applicable), providing a high level of face-to-face interaction with new and strategic clients. The Account Manager will canvass the market for new opportunities. It is envisaged that this will be predominantly in the Gauteng region, and occasionally in other regions within South Africa.
The Account Manager will prepare marketing presentation material for client, for face-to-face presentations, discussions and solution crafting/scenario building with new and existing clients, with the assistance of Orange Cyberdefense Technical Specialists.
Communication will be in both written and verbal forms, including strategic planning workshops, technology-planning workshops, written reports and face-to-face presentations with clients. Consultations with clients will be held predominantly at client sites, either in South Africa, or abroad. This role is also required to be up to date with global security industry trends. Functioning at strategic business levels, this role calls for an understanding of the challenges clients are faced with on an on-going basis, understanding and background of their industry sectors.
Main Responsibilities of the Account Manager
Self-enablement:
- Keep abreast of technological trends in the industry and the services offered by Orange Cyberdefense, from audit through to compliance, positioning these services as part of Global Best Practices for information security
- Interface with Orange Cyberdefense colleagues, absorbing the relevant knowledge to be able to sell and implement these services
- Call in support from the relevant technical Orange Cyberdefense specialists to assist in the sales, marketing and pre-sales function. These include marketing material, proposals, presentations, blog posts, white papers and other publishing material
- Represent Orange Cyberdefense at international events and forums
- Involvement in budgeting and planning activities should this be relevant and required
- Development of a team to execute on planned strategies
- Develop other skills such as soft skills, business skills and negotiating skills
- Identify and qualify potential clients in line with solutions and services
- Sell solutions according to the potential customers business needs
- Search and identify tenders in relevant niche market
- Respond to all relevant tenders within set timeframe
- Ensure budget allocation early in the process
- Build relationships with decision makers
- Identify the relevant partners if need be, for tenders and other business prospects
- Existing relationships in South African accounts would be advantageous
- A shared model of keeping accounts updated with correct contacts, environment information, etc.
- Develop and document account plans (with relevant account manager, if required) for strategic clients
- Understand customers requirements for services or solutions
- Facilitate the crafting of solutions based on customer requirements
- Compile documentation for the customer based on business needs analysis
- Obtain sign off from customer
- Create a suitable and profitable solution in line with customer requirements as applicable
- Include all requested customisation requirements in documentation
- Obtain sign off from customers
- Represent Orange Cyberdefense SA at international events and forums
- Contribute to budgeting and planning activities, as required
- Execute planned strategies consistently
- 5 years sales experience with demonstrable record in Managed Services and Consulting
- Degree in Commerce, Computer Science or Information Systems Security preferred
- Information Technology diploma/course at third year level
- Clear, demonstrable understanding of Cybersecurity Market
- Industry and professional qualifications will be advantageous (Vendor sales certificates, Security+)
