The successful candidate must be an industry expert in his/her particular area of specialization and has, in addition, a broad knowledge of his/her specialized industry. The role is responsible for owning the client engagement process, ensuring that company product range are demonstrated to client and that the best solution/equipment are presented to the client.
This is a senior position with the responsibility to both grow the company in the division and to manage all supporting resources to ensure the sales of the product. The sales/ Applications Specialist will be aligned with national strategy and be engaged directly by the sales team across the country as well as the product manager.
The primary role is to represent the company professionally to clients and prospects, consult with doctors/ decision makers and the sales team during client assessment, needs analysis and client meetings with a focus on promoting the equipment by demonstrating the product and its unique features and benefits.

This position will report to National Imaging Product Manager.
Key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) the following:
- To ensure the relevant machines are introduced in front of the relevant audience through demonstrations and promoting the benefits of the machine.
- Creating and maintaining relationships by providing support, information and guidance as well as promoting the equipment to high level professionals.
- Developing an in-depth knowledge of the Ultrasound product range and services provided. Know the competition and how we are positioned to best exploit our unique selling points Responsible for the sales of the Ultrasound products, including maintaining and growing existing business and expanding of sales within the assigned territory.
- Coaching, training and developing sales team to achieve their goals. This function includes but are not limited to support during trials, co-travelling with sales staff, after sale product training and follow up visits to customers.
- Demonstrating and training of clinical personnel, support to customers as well as technical staff on the working of the equipment.
- Attending meetings, conferences and exhibitions as required promoting Ultrasound products and services;
- General Administration associated with the position;
- This is an application specialist position and not an incentive or sales position.

- A Grade 12 certificate as a minimum requirement.
- Relevant diploma/degree in Ultrasound or Radiography
- South African Citizen
- Own vehicle and valid drivers license
