We are looking for an honest, enthusiastic, motivated sales oriented person to join our team.
Job requirements:
- Boutique or clothing store experience is preferable in order for the candidate to have an understanding on how to merchandise windows and floor, and to put outfits together for customers.
- Store hours: Mon- Fri 9-6 (latest 7 in summer) Saturday - 9-5 Sunday 9:30 - 2:30 The team works on a shift system, with alternating Sundays. Maximum of 45 hours per week.
Job responsibilities:
- Keep shop floor clean and tidy at all times
- Keep stock well replenished at all times
- Dress window and dummy displays
- Check deliveries of new stock and load onto the system
- Stock takes
- Take furniture, bedding and travel system orders, process with suppliers and follow through to delivery
- Interaction with suppliers including following up on orders or queries from customers
- Maintain the customer book, and feed back to the owner / manager on a daily basis on stock requests and orders
- Call customers and advise them of new stock arrivals where appropriate
- Process sales, refunds and credit notes
- Gift wrapping when necessary
- Preparation for events including handing out flyers and goody bags, and promoting discounts and special offer
- Possible interaction with customers on social media where approved by manager
