As our Sales Consultant Residential youll be supporting the development of residential solar energy projects together with our dedicated solar team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a commercial background, an understanding of the solar energy sector and has a proven track record in sales.
Your Tasks Will Include
- Provide solar advise to residential clients
- Planning and executing residential solar energy projects
- Ensure administering all project data in CRM
- Managing multiple projects at the same time
- Generating leads for new solar projects
- Day-to-day technical project management
- Design residential solar systems in Aurora
- Coordinate and manage the procurement process of contractors to perform services under relevant EPC and O&M agreements
- Coordinate the process and execution of project agreements
- The interface between the clients and Soly South Africa team
- Meeting tight deadlines
- Liaising with clients
- Assist with overall project execution of the team
- Additional duties like pr and marketing content of solar projects you have build
- 1-2 years of previous sales experience (not necessarily in the renewable energy industry)
- Driven/Hunger for success/closing deals
- Positive, enthusiastic mindset & outlook
- Networking mindset / can run with deals / dont need to be micromanaged
- Comfortable with using tech tools: our in house digital platform built by Soly Netherlands (where we keep track of all leads/meetings with clients/sales)
- Comfortable learning new Solar PV design tools (Aurora/Helioscope) for Solar PV system designs (sales team members will be doing technical designs too)
- Comfortable with reporting weekly on number of deals working on, number of client meetings, number of proposals sent etc
- Great communication skills
- Team player
- Own vehicle for client site visits etc
