Reporting Structure: Reports to the Sales Manager

Hybrid Location: Work from home with one day a week in our JHB Offices.

Summary

Are you a dynamic and results-driven individual with a passion for driving business growth? Green Media is seeking a New Business Development professional to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to expand our client base and increase revenue. You will pass new clients to our Account Managers and receive evergreen commissions for your efforts.

Job Objective

As a New Business Development professional, your goal will be to generate R8, 218, 182 in gross profit in new business revenue annually. Your role will be instrumental in driving new business opportunities and setting the stage for long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and identify potential new business opportunities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with prospective clients
  • Create and deliver compelling sales presentations
  • Negotiate and close deals to meet sales targets
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop strategies for new business acquisition
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a business development or sales role
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of the marketing and advertising industry
Skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in new business advertising sales.
  • This is a role for a sales hunter. Farmers need not apply.
Compensation
  • Very competitive salary
  • Up to 27.5% commission
  • R2.5 million on target annual earnings

New Business Development Role

The primary responsibility of the NBD professional is to identify and secure new business opportunities. Their focus is on hunting for potential clients, building initial relationships, and closing deals. Once a new client has been secured, the NBD professional will pass the client to an Account Manager for ongoing management. This handover process includes providing comprehensive information about the clients needs, expectations, and any initial agreements made.
