Introduction
Our client is a global integrated security solutions provider. The primary purpose of this role is the development and growth of business in the Western Cape geographical area. The role sits within the Man-Gaurdian - Security Solutions Division.
Duties & Responsibilities
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS & PERFORMANCE STANDARDS
1. Effective compilation of sales quotations and tender documentation in the region in compliance with business strategy
- Effective application and control of company selling price list as per mark-up margins in line with sales strategy.
- Finalize and accept customer quotations by written signed notification or as per purchase order number.
- Effective management of company policies and procedures.
- Prepare and submit sales proposals and tenders to prospective customers. Where necessary, prepare and conduct sales presentations and complete marketing packs.
- Liaise with the National Bid team on the quality and consistency of sales tenders/bids.
- Ensure effective development of sales of new and existing product lines:
- Identify potential business opportunities for security solutions through consultation and cooperation with operational management and the Sales Manager with planned prospecting, leads, cold calling, and tender notices.
- Arrange and conduct meetings with new and existing business prospects to market integrated security solutions where appropriate.
- Conduct/arrange site surveys to identify risks and develop appropriate solutions to do system design to meet customer needs.
- Conduct competitor evaluations to identify risks and develop appropriate solutions through a thorough understanding of the competitive environment faced by the region. Liaise with operations on competitor analysis to share knowledge and focus on viable business opportunities.
- Reach and achieve sales targets, focusing on high-margin business and developing business near operational centres.
- Preparation and submission of weekly sales call sheet report:
- Appointments
- Prospects
- Signed business
- Ensure that a customer file is maintained, containing a signed copy of the maintenance and guarding agreement and any other relevant documentation.
- Ensure effective maintenance of the Sales system, updating quotation information, leads and prospects
- Monitor relationships with designated top customers, scheduling regular visits to ascertain customer satisfaction
- Conduct customer satisfaction surveys
- Achieve customer retention targets and KPIs

- Participate in the design/ development/ review/ implementation, and monitoring of each year's branch/region/national safety plans.
- Participate in safety forums created by the company, for example, safety meetings and safety talks
- Report all safety incidents to the relevant people
- Discuss all safety incidents on all levels
- Follow-up on any activities assigned through safety meetings/committee/representatives/management
- Attend safety education and refresher programmes.
- Comply with safety policies and procedures at the workplace
- Distribute safety information as and when required
- Wear protective clothing all the time
- Grade 12
- Tertiary Qualification in Sales and Marketing advantageous
- Minimum five years experience in a professional sales environment with a proven track record of closing deals and achieving targets
- Security, Sales and Marketing experience is essential
- Experienced in dealing with senior executives and C-Suite
