RESPONSIBLE FOR ENSURING THAT PRODUCT OFFERINGS MEET THE CHANGING NEEDS OF THE MARKET
- Investigate and develop opportunities for new products and services, new markets, expansion of existing products and markets and other business opportunities
- Identify possible new products and determine demand for it
- Liaise with Engineering Manager regarding the feasibility and development of the new product
- Liaise with clients regarding the outcome of the feasibility study
- Co-ordinate final engine-testing of product
- Ensure that the electronic catalogue process will be followed if product development viable has been recommended
- Maintain and update the electronic catalogue
RESPONSIBLE FOR ENSURING OPTIMUM AND MARKET RELATED PRICING LEVELS
- Co-ordinate market-related pricing surveys and submit to pricing committee
- Participate as an active member of the pricing committee where prices and individual rebates will be established
- Prepare and submit quotes for new projects to pricing committee
- Ensure that correct pricing and customer rebates are implemented
- Ensure the timeous distribution of aftermarket price lists
RESPONSIBLE FOR THE EFFECTIVE PROMOTION OF THE COMPANY, INTERNALLY AND WITHIN THE MARKET PLACE
- Formulate and maintain corporate identity of Company
- Analyse, co-ordinate and control all forms of promotion and advertising material, i.e. point of sale material and advertisements
- Define and implement corporate identity on all packaging material
- Ensure that Company website is maintained and updated on a continuous basis
- Ensure monthly updating of the visual wall
- Ensure weekly updating of the notice boards with Sakha Sonke newsletters
RESPONSIBLE FOR INCREASING MARKET SHARE THROUGH EFFECTIVE SALES MANAGEMENT AND ENHANCED CUSTOMER SATISFACTION
- Formulates, in conjunction with the National Sales Manager, short, medium and long term sales targets and objectives
- Compile monthly sales forecast and communicate to Logistics Manager
- Establish strategies to achieve targets and objectives
- Compile and monitor OE product (Original Equipment, i.e. supply of components for vehicle manufacture original assembly), local and export after-market and Parts & Accessories forecast / sales budgets
- Monitor sales performance against pre-determined targets
- Ensure that Sales support employees provide the required standard of service to the customer
- Ensure that all product complaints are investigated and appropriate action taken
- Ensure all customer requirements are met timeously
- Liase with the Quality Departments of external customers regarding quality related matters, concerns and complaints and rating systems
- Co-ordinate customer satisfaction surveys
- Co-ordinate benchmarking surveys
- Develop and implement plans to meet and / or exceed customer satisfaction
- Co-ordinate all arrangements regarding technical symposiums
