Sales Manager

Job Description

Systems & Solutions, a business unit of Emerson Automation Solutions, is currently looking for a Sales Manager responsible for the products and solutions within our Reliability Solutions product line for Northern Region in Middle East & Africa.

AMS is a signature brand of Emerson, offering a comprehensive line of vibration measurement instrumentation, software, analyzers and systems which are used in a wide range of applications found in critical processing facilities such as refineries & petrochemicals, chemical plants, power plants, pipelines, Metal & Mining and other process facilities.

Your role responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
  • Be responsible for Reliability Solutions sales operation plan in northern region of Middle East and Africa, including Vibration Monitoring Systems & Solutions, Wireless Systems, portable instruments, asset and machinery manager software, Lifecycle services & training solutions, work with team to achieve regional sales target monthly and yearly and ensure business sustainably growth.
  • Leverage the One Emerson by coordinating across multiple Emerson business units to solve customer challenges and enhance value and loyalty through the introduction of Emerson Corporate programs. (e.g. Operation Certainty, Perfect execution & Plantweb Optics)
  • Establish a deep understanding of customers business needs by creating value to customers for our solution footprint
  • Add value to the customers business and maintain a goal-oriented approach to the business partnership. Demonstrate to customers how they benefit by partnering with Emerson and how our solutions deliver results.
  • Having a knowledgeable of Vibration Monitoring solutions & application, basic solutions & application presentation is mandatory. Having extensive knowledge of vibration monitoring application in rotating machinery to conduct effective site walk & communicate our solutions effectively at high levels in customer organization. Build & manage regional funnel effectively.
  • Work directly with regional industry segment, know customer entitlement in each industry segment, keep and protect Emerson installed base and develop new application, new account / customer. Follow process to support early engagement with EPCs, consultants, OEMs & end users. Drive sales by directly working with Local Business Partners (LBP) in using a Win/Win approach in managing the sales territory to meet customer requirement, exploring new partner on new customer and application. Manage LBP based on LBP management regulation. Ensure LBP to meet monthly and yearly target. LBP performance and standard behavior are KPI to measure sales individual performance.
  • Know Emerson opportunity identification to sales process, make basic quotation independently, work & support SYSS and (X-BU) teams for joint sales opportunities and track the progress. Follow direction on target accounts based on business unit segmentation strategies. Facilitate implementation of business unit sales strategies within a sales area. Participate in project pursuit and account penetration planning and execution.
  • Understanding regional competitor and competitors product and application, responsibility of collecting market trends and specific customer requirement and feedback to product marketing team timely. Provide input regarding the marketplace and product competitiveness
  • Organize customers events to promote Emerson products. Support marketing programs, strategies and new Product promotion.
  • Support function team for product delivery, payment collection, functions communication to complete the whole business process and improve customers satisfaction. Monitor customer satisfaction levels and provide specific recommendations for improvement. Develop and provide measures that provide information on company performance in the industry segment.
What do I need to be considered for this role?
  • Bachelors Degree or above in Mechanical, Automation or Instrumentation.
  • 10+ years of sales experience, preferably in the sales of vibration monitoring solutions.
  • Background of similar products experience or segment experience would be advantage.
  • Proven Experience of selling VMS / TSI, analysis software solutions at all level in customer organization.
  • Knowledge of Process Automation Systems and Safety Instrumentation systems and interface to Vibration monitoring system.
  • IIOT applicability in plant asset monitoring and maintenance.
  • Specific certifications for Rotating Equipment Machinery Analysis tools and software.
  • Working experience at end user account in Oil & Gas or Power Sector for rotating equipment.
