What You Will Do
To start with, this sales position is specific to MYFARMWEB's OnTrack software solution that empowers farmers and their advisors (agronomists) to manage tasks such as field mapping, crop planning, equipment tracking, and inventory management effortlessly. By harnessing real-time data and analytics, farmers gain valuable insights to optimize resource allocation, increase productivity and reduce costs.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Manager to join our team at MYFARMWEB. As the Sales Manager for our innovative farm management solution, you will be responsible for driving the sales and revenue growth of MYFARMWEB OnTrack. Your primary focus will be on building and maintaining strong relationships with potential clients, understanding their needs, and effectively showcasing the value proposition of OnTrack. You will play a pivotal role in expanding our customer base, driving sales strategies, and achieving sales targets.
This role will evolve to include the MYFARMWEB marketplace ecosystem over time.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets for MYFARMWEB OnTrack.
- Conduct thorough market research to identify new business opportunities and stay updated on industry trends and competitive landscape.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective sales collateral, promotional materials, and campaigns.
- Identify and engage potential customers, including Organisation of Producers (OPs) farms, agribusinesses, and agricultural service providers, to generate leads and drive business growth.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in the agricultural industry.
- Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and negotiations to showcase the benefits and features of MYFARMWEB OnTrack.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales records, customer information, and pipeline management.
- Monitor sales performance and provide regular reports and forecasts to the management team.
- Stay informed about the latest advancements and updates in the agricultural technology industry to effectively position OnTrack as a leading solution.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Agriculture, Marketing, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- 5 - 8 years sales experience, preferably in agriculture.
- Proven track record of success in sales, preferably in the agricultural sector (agriculture technology beneficial).
- Proven experience in a start-up environment.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the agriculture industry and farm management practices, ideally in the fruit and vegetable crop value chains.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and target-driven with a results-oriented mindset.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Flexibility to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
