Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for sales and marketing, reporting directly to the CEO.
- Develop, monitor and achieve sales targets.
- Lead and develop the sales team.
- Investigate and initiate new customers as well as new areas of business.
- Develop a robust annual marketing plan and then implement same.
- Ensure proper communication between sales, R&D and production to ensure the divisions work seamlessly together for the benefit of the company.
- Work with the CEO to cultivate new corporate customers and OEMs.
- Monitor and actively intervene in customer satisfaction and service levels.
- Act as the person of second-last resort in resolving customer complaints. The CEO is the last resort.
- Develop, monitor and achieve sales targets.
- Provide revised monthly sales forecasts.
- Responsible for margin achievement.
- Develop and implement a robust marketing plan.
- Lead and develop the sales team into a high-performance unit that can take the company forward.
- Strong leadership skills with ability to work across cultures and different levels.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Professionally presentable.
- Ability to work under strict deadlines and timelines.
- Proven work experience as a Sales Manager and/or Marketing Manager.
- Motor industry experience would be an advantage.
- Hands on experience with CRM software and MS Office (MS Excel in particular) and SYSPRO.
- Understanding of sales performance metrics.
