Sales Manager (Instrumentation & Control)

Position Overview: As the Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales efforts, cultivating strong customer relationships, and achieving ambitious revenue targets within the instrumentation industry. Leveraging your extensive experience in sales management and your deep understanding of the market, you will lead a team of passionate sales professionals and collaborate cross-functionally to drive business growth.

Reporting to: National Sales Manager

Staff Reporting: 12, plus external agents

Area: Gauteng, Free State, Limpopo, Northwest Province, Northern Cape - up to Kathu.

Key Performance Areas
  • Assess Business Potential: Evaluate market potential for all offerings in your area.
  • Grow Market Share: Set targets to increase market share in your area. Lead Sales Team: Guide team to meet sales targets effectively.
  • Utilize Salesforce.com: Manage leads and accounts efficiently.
  • Penetrate Tier A/B Accounts: Enhance sales within key accounts.
  • Focus on Value-added Sales: Sell services/solutions to top tier clients.
  • Develop New Accounts: Advance accounts to Tier A status.
  • Manage Projects on Salesforce.com: Follow project management protocol.
  • Enhance Customer Satisfaction: Resolve complaints and improve satisfaction.
  • Integrate Process and CRM: Ensure CRM integration in the region.
  • Compile Rolling Forecasts: Regularly forecast region's performance.
  • Enforce Code of Conduct: Ensure adherence to company standards.
  • Review Representative Performance: Evaluate representative performance.
  • Implement Strategy Initiatives: Drive initiatives aligned with company goals.
  • Foster Interdepartmental Collaboration: Promote collaboration among departments.
  • Manage Price Agreements: Oversee price agreements within region.
  • Support Sales Process: Provide support using BPM.
  • Manage Projects: Oversee projects using Project Place.
  • Travel: 5-8 days per month (away from home)
Requirements Qualifications / Experience:
  • Qualified in the field of Instrumentation and Control (we're looking for either a Trade, N6, ND, NHD or BTech)
  • Experienced in Sales of Instrumentation & Process Control Technologies and Solutions ( 10 years)
  • Experienced in leading Sales Teams (3 years)
  • A valid Drivers License
We'll also be looking out for:
  • Addition Studies in Sales Management
  • Experience in the use of CRM systems like SAP / Business Warehouse
  • Experience in new Business Development
  • Code 10 Drivers License
