Job Description
This is a sales management role that manages a team of sales consultants in a call centre. This role drives telephonic sales with Sales Consultants through outbound campaigns (new sales). The Sales Manager needs to develop, support and manage the sales consultants to be competent and confident to drive sales in a compliant, disciplined and professional manner. This role is a non-advice rendering position.
Compliance
- Ensures compliance to process & procedures to minimise business risk

Marketing
- Accountable for local marketing
- Responsible for distribution strategy of products within a branch
- Responsible for external networking & relationship building with key door opener
- Identifies & creates coordinated sales opportunities through others.
- Manages sales & expense budget for a sales team in a branch against set targets.
- Balances own priorities with directing and motivating others
- Creates a climate for optimal performance
- Guides and directs staff to achieve operational performance
- Individually accountable for sales advisors time, tasks and output quality, over periods of up to three months
- Manages performance
- Plans & assigns work over periods of up to three months
- Selects potential staff to sustain customer/client service delivery
- A minimum of 3 years sales management experience (preferably within financial services)
- Previous experience having worked in a sales call centre
- Computer Literacy
