What will you do?
Responsible for the planning, organising and control of a department. Manages the activities within the department through subordinate supervisors, ensuring that staffing levels are maintained, training is provided and that company standards and productivity levels are maintained. Liaises with other departmental heads. Ensures that each skill level within the communication centre attains the given service level. The incumbent controls the budget, reviews cost saving, initiates and provides input on the training of team leaders. Reviews Call Centre industry benchmarking locally and internationally.

Santam Direct has an exciting career opportunity is available for a Sales Manager, who will be based in Centurion. This career opportunity is available within the Referral Sales department.
The Sales Manager will drive sales in a telesales environment. The incumbent must have proven success in the inbound as well as outbound telesales environment. The incumbent must also have a good knowledge of digital marketing with the ability to analyze leads and influence the generation of quality leads and have accountability to convert these leads into sales for Personal Lines.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Completed Grade 12
Completed RE certificate
Degree or Diploma Commerce / Business studies
Insurance related studies on an NQF Level 5 or 6
Minimum 5 years call centre management experience within short-term insurance (sales driven environment)
Comprehensive experience in the short-term insurance industry
Proven involvement in the formulation and execution of sales strategies
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Legislative requirements applicable to a contact centre environment in the insurance industry
Working knowledge of digital marketing
Developing sales plans and budgets
Santam Personal insurance product and system knowledge
Financial Management including Income Statement analysis
