An opportunity has become available for a Sales Operations Manager to join our Inland West team. This role is based in Isando and reports directly to the Regional Sales Manager.

Job Specification:
Key Performance Areas:
- Work in conjunction with the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to achieve the set targeted NSV sales for the region, deliver the targeted category gross profit and manage customer returns.
- Build, develop and maintain customer relationships with all key regional customers.
- Call on selected customers to perform a regional key accounts function.
- Compile and present sales reviews, prepare and discuss measures to rectify negative performance.
- Manage customer pricing in line with NBL mandates and National Customer Managers strategy. Ensure that pricing is loaded in the NBL system/ App.
- Manage customer promotional activity in line with NBL mandates and National Customer Managers strategy and guidelines.
- Successfully launch new innovation- stock to be on shelf in customer within 6 weeks of open orders
- Complete customer contact reports and communicate with all relevant stakeholders (customer and NBL)
- Completion of all planning and administration for area of responsibility
- Comprehend and utilise key 3rd party/ customer systems to drive the NBL business in the region.
- Complete comprehensive trade visits, with trade contact reports, on a weekly basis
- Accompany AVI Field Marketing ASM and Reps to Outlets in area on regular basis.
- Monitor agreed outlet coverage within region and liaise with AVI Field Marketing management regarding problem areas, opportunities and performance.
- Monitor, analyse and report on performance within region integrate key learnings into future plans.
- Deliver specific distribution, pricing, promotion and merchandising objectives within region in line with POP vision, through close liaison with AVI Field Marketing management.
- Execute specific push and pull initiatives as directed within region, through close liaison with AVI Field Marketing management.
- Assist AVI Field Marketing management to identify new placement opportunities within region.
- Provide input and assistance into training, development and motivation of the regional AVI Field Marketing Sales Team
- Preparation and presentation of the yearly NBL regional plan in conjunction with the Regional Sales Manager
Qualifications:
- Matric
- A business-related degree or diploma advantageous
Experience:
- At least 3 years sales management experience within the FMCG Industry
- Must have wholesale experience
- Sales systems and procedures
- Demonstration of successful customer management
- Advanced negotiation skills are essential.
