Sales Representative - Diabetes - Fixed Term

This position will be based in Johannesburg (Vaal territory), South Africa under the Diabetes Business Unit. You will directly report to the Field Sales Manager, Novo Nordisk.

Please note that this position is contract based for 2 years fixed-term.

The Position
As a Sales Representative at Novo Nordisk, you will build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals and key decision-makers in the Diabetes field.

Your main accountabilities will be:
  • Promote and sell our obesity products to healthcare providers, ensuring they have the information and resources they need to make informed decisions
  • Develop and execute strategic territory plans to achieve sales targets and drive business growth
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the obesity field and provide feedback to internal teams to support product improvement and innovation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies and initiatives
Qualifications

As a Sales Representative, you need to have at least 3 years of experience in pharmaceutical or medical device sales. Moreover, you need to have a Bachelors degree in Life Science or any other relevant field.

To be successful in this role:
  • Strong knowledge of the market, including key competitors and industry trends
  • Have consultative relationships with clinicians, gynaecologists, psychiatrists, bariatric surgeons, pharmacists, nurses and other related stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapid and establish trust with healthcare professionals
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Ability to work independently and manage territory effectively
  • Valid drivers license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory
  • Fluency in English
