SALES REPRESENTATIVE (EXTERNAL) CONFERENCING
Durban Central. Salary negotiable, commission plus expenses
Our client is a firm favourite in the Conferencing and Events arena, largely due to its placement within Durban’s Golden Mile and proximity to hotels, beaches and tourist attractions. Since their inception in 2010, they have successfully hosted conferences for some of the largest organisations, both locally and internationally.
THE JOB
Promoting and procuring sales of products and services of the Convention Centre & Arena
Must possess good people skills and have the ability to persuade and negotiate.
Must possess excellent communication skills and have the ability to deal with a broad range of customers.
Must be confident, resilient and must be have a good knowledge of the products being sold.
REQUIREMENTS / SKILLS:
Making Appointments and to meet new and existing customers
Understanding your customer needs
Making presentations to promote new products and special deals
Agreeing sales, prices, contracts and payments
Advising customers about delivery of service
Keeping contact with existing customers in person and by telephone
Recording orders and sending to sales office.
Watching your competitors and the price they are selling
Attending events to keep abreast of industry trends
Meeting sales targets
Reporting sales and trends to employer
