Qualifications
- High school diploma (matric) or equivalent. A relevant technical degree or diploma is a plus.
- Experience in external sales
- Previous mechanical experience is essential.
- A valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle.
- Self-disciplined, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
- Proven track record of being a self-starter and go-getter, with excellent time management skills.
- Strong technical understanding of diesel engines, generators, or related equipment is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of the generator industry will be considered a strong advantage.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and effectively.
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills to build and maintain client relationships.
- Proficiency in using CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant sales tools.
- Willingness to travel within the designated sales territory as needed.
- Prospect, identify, and develop new business opportunities within the fuel decontamination industry.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through research, networking, and cold-calling.
- Present and demonstrate decontamination products and services to potential clients, showcasing their technical benefits and advantages.
- Fuel sample extractions and site evaluations
- Develop a deep understanding of clients' technical requirements and challenges to provide effective solutions.
- Collaborate with the technical team to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the products and services offered.
- Provide accurate and detailed sales forecasts, reports, and analysis to the management team.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market developments, and competitors' activities.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to represent the company and its offerings.
- Achieve or exceed assigned sales targets and goals within the designated territory.
