Sappi Global Business Services is on the lookout for an experiencedFinancial Manager: General Accounts to manage the General Ledgers of all South African business units by managing and being able to prepare all reconciliations when required, raising sundry debtors, posting journals, keeping intercompany accounts in balance for South Africa.

As a Financial Manager: General Accounts, you will be responsible for:

• Assumingoverall responsibility for all General Ledger reconciliations for all South African business units including reviewing General Ledger reconciliations
• Managing and implementing the new Reconciliation tool by configuring and providing training
• Managing the sundry billing process for all units and ensuring the sundry billing process is standardised by developing procedures to support this.
• Managing vendor and customer-sensitive master data.
• Presenting improvements to management to justify and obtain approvals to implement new systems and technology
• Managing and guiding the team in the consignment stock process. Ensuring the process remains relevant and updatedwhen required
• Coordinating the preparation and processing of journals for all business units in SA, ensuring it is done in a timely manner
• Managing the cashbook function, ensuring payments comply to procedures and are on time

What are we looking for?

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Finance Honours or Postgraduate in Finance
• 6 years relevant financial experience, with 2 years in a management position
• Proficiencyin MS Office, SAP, General Accounts
