Purpose of Job
Accountable to provide an Electrical engineering services for R&T projects in concept, basic and detailed design. Responsible to provide cost estimates for projects and to ensure quality delivery within cost and schedule commitments during FEL.
Recruitment Description / Key Accountabilities
- Responsible to develop Electrical SOW for engineering and construction contractors
- Squad check EC design packages (calculations, design basis, drawing's, SOW and documentation)
- Attend to construction technical queries
- Demonstrate ability to put controls in place to mitigate and manage deviations
- Provide solutions which are aligned to business unit goals and values
- Plan and meet project management objectives in technical, professional and expert areas of work
- Deliver expert solutions to meet changing business and work requirements by being able to do Electrical designs and drawings by making use of E-plan
- Apply policies, standards, procedures and methods with discression
- Extract, capture and disseminate knowledge management standards
- Review and report on the process and risk impact with regards to a portfolio of tasks
- Take corrective action when necessary with technical solution
- Ensure that work standards are met according to applicable Sasol specifications, Site procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in the MOC process and associated risk reviews.
- Develop suitable technical proposals based on practical and theoretical knowledge.
- Plan and safely execute work according to work instructions, quality requirements, deadlines, budget and schedules under no supervision.
- Efficient & effective use of resources to ensure objectives are achieved and work delivered on time, in scope and within budget.
- Able to work on multiple tasks and/or requests with different priorities.
- Manage complex schedules and communicate possible delays in meeting deadlines.
- Service provider management
- Understanding of supply chain and procurement procedures
T4 or B.Tech Electrical
Extensive knowledge of R&T equipment and processes (strong wish)
