SC Control Analyst – Fruits

Overview

Execute control related deliverables in the Supply Chain function to support the Manufacturing Control Senior Analyst through:
  • Providing visibility on spend
  • Ensuring accurate reporting
  • Identifying areas of waste and
  • Effectively safeguarding company resources
  • Responsibility for the application of policy and governance over manufacturing costs to ensure financial statements accuracy (P&L and Balance Sheet), and monitoring to support effective cost management
Responsibilities

General
  • Monitor inbound and manufacturing elements of the I2C and P2P cycle to ensure:
  • Effective execution and adherence to PepsiCo inventory policy and related procedure
  • Identification of financial risks and opportunities including effective resolution thereof
  • Operational challenges include root cause analysis and related problem solving with PepsiCo Plants management
  • Execute product costing process to support new product development decision making process for manufactured finished goods.
  • Monitor Plant Operations including independent site visit reviews
COGS
  • Assist Manager with accurate and timely reporting of Direct Costs and Manufacturing Overheads in line with PepsiCo Policy (P&L and Balance Sheet) and reporting requirements
  • Assist in the execution of monthly standard cost estimate restatement in line with weighted average raw material and packaging prices
  • Prepare weekly production costing reports and analyze plant performance variances
  • Assist in period close activities including but not limited to plant related pre requisites, review of plant COGS spend and related accruals required to ensure accurate reporting
  • Assist in ensuring accuracy of raw material rebates booking in financials and related invoicing in line with vendor contracts
Move
  • Responsible for accurate and timely reporting of MOVE in line with PepsiCo Policy (P&L and Balance Sheet)
  • Assist Manager with the Coordination of monthly per site review comparing actual versus AOP/Latest forecast.
  • Liaise with SCF and SCL teams to gain understanding of inputs within forecast/AOP and provide insights to actuals on month end closure
  • Populate the input schedules to critically assess validity and accuracy of inputs received from operational sites
  • Update control processes & tools to enhance efficiency & responsiveness of the flash roll up process.
  • Perform trend analysis and interpretation
  • Prepare monthly Move costs variance analysis report for inputs
  • Support the Manager with the presentation of monthly cause of change for Flash submission to Business leadership.
  • Ensure P&L line ownership
Inventory
  • Assist Manager with accurate and timely reporting of inventory in line with PepsiCo Policy (P&L and Balance Sheet) and reporting requirements
  • Accountable for communication and quantification of inventory related risks and opportunities impacting SA Fruits
  • Assist Manager with execution of Finished Goods reconciliation between SAP & Legacy inventory systems (WMS, EWM and Newspage for the Fruits Portfolio, including coordinating review with Control Leadership for related impact on P&L and Balance Sheet
  • Execution of period close activities including but not limited to inventory provisioning for slow moving, expired, obsolete, quality write-offs, damages, and goods in transit (GIT) to ensure accurate reporting
  • Responsible for collating inventory variances impacting COGS performance via securing of information from sites prior to month end close
Qualifications
  • 3 year Finance Degree
  • 2-3 years Costing or Management Accounting experience FMCG (Preferred)
  • Basic ERP Knowledge SAP, WMS & Newspage (Preferred)
  • Understanding of core stock management principles, processes, and governance
