Minimum Requirements
- Grade 10 certificate or equivalent with mathematics and physical science on standard grade (D symbol)
- At least 1-year experience as a Engineering Assistance and/or technical type role / environment.
- Basic understanding of lamp room equipment and tools.
- Good computer skills (Microsoft package
To assist in providing quality services and safe operation of PDS Issuer equipment and tools for health, safety and productivity in the mining sector.
Responsibilities
Operational Activities
- Performs day to day activities in accordance with the prescribed DMR guidelines and as stipulated but not limited to mine code of practice.
- Provides legal and competent services.
- Compile and submit the necessary reports (Legal documentation).
- Resolves all customer complaints and grievances in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain and monitor lamp room equipment.
- Ensure effective key control during shift.
- Maintain through and up-to-date knowledge of internal and external procedures, schedules and directives pertinent to the lamp room, and attends in-service, mandatory, basic, advance and /or specialized training to maintain current and proficiency or learn new job-related information and skills.
- Maintain housekeeping in area of responsibility
- Liaise with Supervisor to assist in ensuring quality and safety of work that contractual obligations are met
- Liaise with visitors, clients, staff and others to assist with general enquiries.
- Keep Supervisor updated of all unresolved and/or potential problems that would negatively affect the customer or our company.
- Feedback on a regular daily basis to Supervisor.
