The School Governing Body of Clarence Primary School aims to appoint an experienced, responsible and qualified person for the position of bursar.
Job responsibilities:
- The Bursar reports to the School Principal.
- Responsible for the management of all financial and business functions of the school.
- General management of administrative and human resources.
- Management of Occupational Health and Safety compliance.
- Compliance with all legislative requirements affecting school activities.
Job requirements:
- Must have a B.Com. or similar accounting qualification.
- The ideal candidate will have experience in school financial departments and will have excellent knowledge of accounting and financial management principles.
- An ability to work under pressure, with precision.
- Have strong management and interpersonal skills.
- Have strong organizational, administrative and communication ability.
- An ability to work respectfully with staff, parents and learners in a school environment.
- A package commensurate with the position and relevant qualifications and experience will be negotiated during the recruitment process.

About us:
Clarence Primary School is situated in Greyville, Durban. It has a strong history having celebrated its centenary in 2005. There are almost one thousand, two hundred children in the school ranging from Reception class to Grade 7, including two LSEN classes.
