Job vacancy for School Marketing & Communications Manager to work at Northlands Girls' High School based in Durban.
A suitably qualified and experienced professional required to market the school to the community. The applicant should have a recognized marketing qualification and at least 5 years of relevant experience (school marketing a plus but not essential). The applicant should be proactive, driven and creative, and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Reporting to the Principal, the applicant will be responsible and accountable for:
- Developing and implementing a strategic marketing plan based on the vision and broad strategy of the school;
- Development and growth of our defined target market;
- Planning and implementing promotional events and publications;
- Assisting with development of and marketing of fundraising events;
- Writing and distributing press releases to targeted media and managing social medial Fostering community and inter-school relationships;
- Developing and implementing best practice communication channels with parents, pupils, target market and community;
- Various other public relations and marketing tasks.
This is a full time Governing Body position with flexible hours. Attendance will be required at regular evening meetings and occasional weekend events. Salary will be market related. Traceable references required.
