Job Description
We are looking for a Junior Scrum Master to join our team at Olarm.
As a Junior Scrum Master, you will support the agile development process by facilitating Scrum ceremonies, removing impediments, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Working closely with product managers, developers, and QA teams, you will help ensure smooth workflow, effective sprint execution, and alignment with business goals. This role is ideal for someone with a foundational understanding of Agile principles and a desire to grow into a high-impact Scrum Master.
Key Responsibilities
- Agile Facilitation & Scrum Practices
- Support daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Assist in sprint backlog grooming and ensure tasks are well-defined and estimated.
- Help the team remove blockers and escalate issues when necessary.
- Promote agile best practices and continuous improvement within the teams.
- Team Support & Collaboration
- Work closely with developers, QA engineers, and product managers to ensure smooth sprint execution.
- Foster a collaborative and transparent team environment.
- Encourage teams to take ownership of their work while providing guidance when needed.
- Assist in tracking sprint progress using JIRA, Trello, or other Agile tools.
- Process Improvement & Reporting
- Monitor sprint health and identify areas for process improvement.
- Gather and analyse sprint metrics to provide insights for better decision-making.
- Support the creation of agile dashboards and reports to track team performance.
- Ensure that scrum principles are upheld while adapting to the needs of the business.
- Any other reasonable task.
- Bachelors degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- 1+ years of experience in an Agile team (as a Scrum Master or related role).
- Basic knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, and Agile frameworks.
- Experience using JIRA, Confluence, or other Agile project management tools.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.
- Passion for learning and developing into a fully-fledged Scrum Master.
