Second Line IT Support Engineer

@Uptime provides white-label IT Support and NOC services to MSPs enabling them to extend the services they can offer their customers. This role involves working with a leading UK based MSP who will provide further training in order to assist the successful candidate in increasing their technical knowledge.

This role will be remote initially and possibly hybrid at a later date.

This role has been created to create a buffer between 1st Line and 3rd Line support, the successful candidate will be a Senior L2 keen to progress towards L3 in the future.

Mandatory Technical (2 - 3 Yrs Experience)
  • Administration and troubleshooting on SonicWall Firewalls- Gen 6 & 7.
  • Switched Networks and VLANs based on HP, Aruba, Cisco, Meraki, Ubiquiti equipment.
  • Administration and troubleshooting on Microsoft 365 Cloud Platform.
  • Administration and troubleshooting on Microsoft Intune and Defender.
  • Administration and troubleshooting on Microsoft Active Directory.
  • Administration and troubleshooting on Microsoft Windows Server OS. (2016/2019/2022)
  • Administration and troubleshooting on Microsoft Windows Desktop.
Desirable Technical
  • Endpoint Security products, (e.g ThreatLocker, Huntress EDR, MS Defender for Business).
  • Knowledge of Cyber Security Frameworks, (e.g Cyber Essentials, CIS 8.0)
  • Familiarity with Hudu Documentation Platform.
