Purpose
To develop relationships with clients to acquire new business , network with existing customers to retain the business & meet sales goals
Responsibilities
- Define account objectives, develop strategy, implement through account plan
- Develop successful working relationship with (new and existing) clients across all levels of customer organization, influencing their choice of suppliers and establish Dsm-firmenich as key partner to obtain briefs for profitable business
- Anticipate clients needs and lead proactive projects to generate new business opportunities
- Lead/coordinate projects with internal partners and with clients (including fragrance/flavor/ingredient submissions)
- Oversees entire value chain: product life cycle management, demand planning, customer care and supply chain to ensure highest customer satisfaction and maximum value extraction
- Build the account sales budget annually, monitor sales and profitability versus objectives
- Tertiary qualification (business administration, economics, marketing, science...).
- 5+ years sales experience.
- Ability to develop solid account plans to category plans.
- Advanced Sales and Negotiation skills.
- Extended product expertise (product, market, consumer, technical/technology) and passion for fragrance/flavours/Ingredients.
- Ability to define, prioritize and implement action plans according to business opportunities and success factors.
- Flavour or Fragrance industry experience would be advantageous.
