Job Description
The successful candidate will form part of a high-performing team responsible for enhancing Old Mutual Rewards capability.
The role provides the opportunity to develop an understanding of Old Mutuals products across the different segments, to use data to derive customer insights and nudge behaviours, and to gain a deep understanding of the loyalty/rewards programme landscape in South Africa. The incumbent will play a leading role in the management and development of the Rewards program. The position offers regular opportunities to engage with and present reported results to various stakeholders and management.
Key Result Areas
- Own and execute operations related to the monthly Rewards points run
- Reviewing and evaluating operational business processes, activities and data for the purpose of making tactical and strategic business decisions
- Perform regular financial projections to support new initiatives and evaluate existing ones
- Perform financial projections to support business planning and rule review cycles
- Support contract negotiations with various Rewards partners
- Support and delivery of strategic projects as these arise
- Own and support competitor research on loyalty/rewards programmes
- Own and Support regular reporting on the performance of the Rewards programme
Skills, Qualifications And Experience Required
- Qualified actuary or actuarial student with minimum 14 actuarial exams and 6 years actuarial experience
- Strong technical skills and attention to detail
- Strong detail orientation coupled with the ability to see the big picture
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Motivated self-starter who shows initiative, is proactive, looks for ways to improve
- Able to complete tasks within agreed timelines and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance
- Ability to plan and prioritize
- Willing to learn and grow
- High level of accountability
