Your Role and Responsibilities
- The main language used on the project is JavaScript. Both for Frontend and Backend.
- Backend services are built with NodeJS/Express, and frontend apps with Angular/NodeJS/EJS
- Plan, build, and maintain customer facing Web Applications using JavaScript/NodeJS, and Angular.
- Plan, build, and maintain custom APIs using NodeJS/ExpressJS, and Swagger.
- The API Definitions are done in Swagger 2.0, soon to be moved to OpenAPI Spec 3.0
- Unit tests done in Mocha with Gulp.
- Integration into backend systems through XML for legacy systems, and JSON for REST services.
- Connecting to and using MongoDB to store application and microservices data.
- Built internal helper applications, using NodeJS/ExpressJS.
- Configure Azure DevOps pipelines to deploy newly built applications. This includes creating Docker files and defining application configs using YAML/JSON, and creating pipeline from pre-defined templates in Azure DevOps.
- Update content on the API Connect Developer Portal when required. This is a Drupal 7 portal with a custom theme that was created.
- Supporting and debugging issues raised by the support team:
- This includes going through logs in Kibana looking for errors or data.
- Going through Kubernetes pods logs, using Kubernetes Dashboard.
- Pulling data from MongoDB and using it as part of the debugging and issue finding process.
- Going through Agile/Scrum ceremonies like Daily Standup, team demos, sprint plannings and the like.
- Other tasks such assisting with the creating of stories or taking part in sessions to decide if 'requirements' from business can be done, etc..
- Must have Node. Js microservices API building experience
- Must have knowledge of DevOps, experience on Express, loop back frame work of building API.
- Having experience with Nest.js and Golang would be an advantage.
- Having Front end experience with Angular above version 8 will be good.
