Role Purpose
This is a role within the Group IT function, with a primary focus on Governance and Reporting for Group IT across 8 Operating Companies (OpCos) in Africa including MPesa and other Vodafone entities. The core purpose of the role is to ensure Vodacom Groups coordinated IT governance, monitoring, reporting, and project management. Some of the key activities include supporting the Group CIO strategy development process by defining annual performance goals across the group and coordinating Operating Companies inputs, monitoring Group IT performance against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and reporting performance to Vodafone, Vodacom Group, and Board level.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
Facilitate the compilation of annual Group IT KPIs and align the operating companies with a guidance document that provides definitions and thresholds for KPI targets.
Monitor and report Group IT performance against KPIs and targets.
Ensure all monthly reporting is completed through effective collaboration with OpCos.
Preparation of executive reporting and presentations for Board level meetings and senior leadership forums.
Provide Group IT consolidated reporting as required to VF, VC Group, and Technology Group.
Project manage ad-hoc various strategic and tactical initiatives for the Managing Executive in Group IT Operations.
Provide administrative support during the formulation and submission of yearly budget cycles for OpCos.
Provide support and training to the OpCos regarding KPI guidance, definitions, measurements, and reporting.
Ideally You Should Possess The Following
Matric/Grade 12 is essential.
3-year relevant IT-related qualification essential.
Honours Degree in IT-related qualification (NQF Level 8) / beneficial.
Certification (ITIL, CESA / CISSP/COBIT).
Work Experience
5-8 years of IT experience in a related sector.
5+ years of experience in IT performance reporting, strategic planning, Governance, or Office of the CIO function.
