Your Role at Impact:
As an Impact Engineer, working on the SaaS Platform, you will drive and take ownership of various technologies to build features, enabling large-scale processing of data supporting Impact Products. This person is part of an Agile / Scrum team and is expected to mentor squad members. This role assumes a certain independent capability to investigate and learn new technologies for the platform, subsequently providing recommendations to various teams backed by a solid understanding of the value a technology would provide.
The engineer is responsible for delivering quality code and software solutions that meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders
What You'll Do:
- Developing backend services on the cloud that power our UIs
- Assisting on our Frontend developers changes to our UI
- Create powerful APIs for partners and advertisers
- Participating in the full product lifecycle, including ideation, prioritization, coding & testing.
- Learning new technology and teaching your peers everything you know
- Completed B.S. In Computer Science or related field or equivalent professional experience
- Hard working, passionate & dedicated.
- Knowledge of Spring Framework
- Experience with REST APIs
- Experience with writing tests
- 4 years+ experience using Java, NodeJS and relational database(s)
- Love working in the backend and the frontend
- Experience building on cloud platforms, GCP, Azure, or AWS
- Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science or similar
- Creative, enthusiastic and fun, with attention to detail.
- A fast learner who loves solving problems.
- A great communicator who enjoys working with other smart people
