Scope of Responsibility:
The successful incumbent will be responsible for the management of Cost of Sales drivers, lead the Non-variable overheads (NVOs) process and support on Advertising & Promotion for all three categories of Colgate Palmolive, South Africa.
The incumbent will support the business to drive profitability through providing accurate financial information, insights and analytics to the local leadership and management teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Cost of Sales
- Analyze variable cost and determine the drivers of actuals vs. forecast for all categories, explain any variances
- Coordinate with the Supply Chain Finance team to understand the impact on factory performance and on gross margin by sub brand
- Coordinate with the Logistics team to analyze actuals expenditure against budget, measuring actual FTG savings against commitments
- Management of the forecast and budgeting process for materials and logistics cost
- Management of the NVOs for the different cost center owners
- Monthly analysis of actual expenditure against budget by department, and explain any variances
- Coordinate, consolidate and upload into SAP NVOs numbers for budgets and forecasts
- Coordinate FTG task forces to deliver savings to reinvest in the business
- Management of the advertising and promotions budget
- Coordinate, consolidate and upload A&P numbers for budgets and forecasts into SAP
- Coordinate and prepare the NVO & Margin, Gross Profit roll forwards
- Coordinate and prepare the marketing analysis for the quarterly FD commentary
- Lead financial modeling and simulation of Forex impact on cost
- Bachelor's Degree of Commerce in Finance, Honours an advantage
- Working Towards CIMA Qualification
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Cost Accounting/Budget & Planning role
- Experience in an FMCG environment will be an added advantage.
- Prior Experience in Supply Chain Finance is preferred
