Role Purpose
To ensure that user requirements for the business are documented, developed and delivered on.
Lead and/or mentor a practice of Business Analysis across the delivery portfolio, ensuring the development and maintenance of highly skilled and motivated practice members.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
Supports the business unit owner in the formulation of an initiative by determining problems and identifying business needs to ensure that the business needs are aligned to the business strategic and tactical goals.
To document and manage changes to requirements throughout the project life cycle by capturing requirement attributes and building a traceability matrix.
Facilitate requirements gathering through interview, requirements workshops, etc.
Maintain a steady backlog of requirements that are ready to go Program Incremental Planning.
Support the day-to-day needs of Scrum teams in understanding customer and business requirements
Identify the risks related to changes in requirements, determine the impact those risks may have on the ability to deliver benefits, and recommends actions to mitigate risks where possible.
To ensure effective communication and liaison with all stakeholders
To ensure that deliverables developed meet the business requirements and quality standards.
To perform business analysis and design activities by assessing requirements in terms of feasibility, impact and cost, thereby assisting to create and compile accurate user requirement documents.
To ensure that projects are delivered according to requirements, specified designs and that the technical and business teams are aligned around the same objectives and deliverables.
Organises interactions between the members of the Practice to nurture best practice and encourage knowledge- & tool-sharing
Act as supporting leader, rather than line manager, aiming at maturing the organisation readiness, vs. controlling the work
To research, define and maintain industry best practices within the Online & Transformation Division with respect to the above and other delivery processes
To maintain, re-evaluate, optimise or automate existing business processes
To create reports and feedback to executive and line management
To perform quality assurance across business analysis documentation, vendor documentation, proposals, technical designs, test documentation and operational handover documentation
The Ideal Candidate For This Role Will Have
Technical / professional qualifications:
Matric/Grade 12 or equivalent (essential), and 3 Year relevant diploma/degree.
5 - 8 Years business analysis / systems analysis experience preferably in a highly complex in-house development environment (essential) and
Recognised Business Analysis qualification (FTI, Agile Business Analysis, etc) essential.
5 years experience as Business Analyst in an Agile development environment
