An opportunity has become available for a Senior Business Development Manager within Tied Agency Distribution, based in Gauteng.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
The Senior Business Development Manager will be positioned within the Sanlam Connect channel and responsible for STAs strategy of driving growth, profitability for our short-term insurance businesses. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to enhance market presence, foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, and identify new business opportunities. This role demands a dynamic, results-oriented professional with a deep understanding of the financial industry and a proven track record in business development.
WHAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE?
- Drive and deliver STAs strategy within Sanlam Connect
- Identifying new growth opportunities acquisitions.
- Collaborate and engage with Sanlam Connect management and business owners for the purpose of business development and stakeholder management.
- Actively promoting the Tied Agent Model to BlueStars and potential brokers.
- Increasing Tied Agencys End in Force through the appointment of experienced STi Advisors
- Management of a Team of Business Development Managers Overall responsibility for the on-boarding process of new advisers/practices/brokers.
- Drive and manage agent productivity targets and service level agreements related to Leads.
- Matric Qualification /Grade 12 (Business related qualification will be advantageous)
- RE Qualification
- Industry relevant qualification
- Meet fit and proper requirements in terms of the FAIS Act
- Minimum of 5 years+ experience in Business Development and/or Key Account Management
- Minimum of 5 years+ Leadership/Management experience
- MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point)
- Qlik modules
- Technical Product knowledge in respect of both Personal and Commercial Short-Term Insurance (Preferred)
- Knowledge of and experience in financial services sales and advice
- Good understanding of the Sanlam Connect or similar environment (Preferred)
- Understanding of Compliance requirements in on-boarding, training and vesting of new Short Term Insurance advisers.
