Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION:Min: Grade 12 Science HG & Maths Numeracy , Commercial(Bcom in cost accounting/Bcom in procurement) & Engineering (Mechanical/Industrial only) qualification
Added advantage: CIPS qualification minumum level 4EXPERIENCE:3 - 5 years experience in the Manufacturing Bought out parts/Sales within the OE Automotive supplier base,
- Be able to relate a technical drawing to a component
- Construct a bill of material from the drawing and suppliers manufacturing process
- Calculate a total delivered cost using the collected material for a profitability study(Make or buy analyses)
- Net present value and payback experience is mandatory
- Present a detailed study to explain the cost drivers in the quotation recieved upon analyses
POSITION SUMMARY/CORE DESCRIPTIONDetailed level negotiation and ability to analyse parts cost breakdown. Focus is also on cost reduction planning. Ensure all internal customer requirements are met by the local supplier (Quality, Delivery, Development, Management & Cost). Understand the competiveness of local supplier base vs imported parts.

Purchasing original parts Supplier and component materials sourcing within global Nissan USFT
Negotiations on quality, cost, delivery ,development, management
Analysis and feasibility studies
Manage Nissan/supplier relationship by means of supplier support
Increase of local content
Liasing with Alliance Purchasing organisation(local/global)
Negotiations to achieve cost competitive levels on Ex-works basis to source country
Managing price changes (PC's) and Engineering changes
Cost reduction & Localisation Review and report monthly on the cost target achievement (including 3-3-3 Impact)
AVN (Analysis, validation, negotiation)
Understand the impact of BBBEE legislation within the Automotive industry
