Senior Claims Administrator

A dynamic financial services provider based in Cape Town is looking for an experienced Senior Claims Administrator to join their team. This is a hybrid position 1/2 days in-office the rest work remotely. The role involves motor claims from start to finish and contributing to management of the claims department. Your RE5 and NQF5 qualification in insurance are required. This is a niche growing insurance company looking for a Senior Claims Administrator to join their team. Responsibilities:

Management of the commercial claims portfolio

Working with adjusters, examiners, suppliers and team members in the claims process Facilitation of the settling of complex claims

Review company policy to determine coverage and liability for new claims and ensure legal compliance and adhere to the claims processes and timely payments.

The suitable candidate will have excellent presentation skills and a strong ability to interact with management at all levels. A highly competitive salary package will be offered based on your skills and experience.

RequirementsGrade 12 certificate, RE5

5+ years claims administration in short term and commercial insuranceProficient in SASRIA.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and writing skills.

Advanced computer and typing skills and MS Excel

A degree in business or a relevant field is essential, and a short-term insurance qualification would be an advantage.

Previous claims management and business experience

Strong technical knowledge of product wording and contracts

Understanding of insurance systems

Knowledge of statutory and legislative requirements

Good understanding of short-term insurance procedures are also required.

Understanding of regulations, OSTI requirements, and claims processing.

Presentation skills

Ability to interact with management level
