Role Purpose
We are seeking a Senior Cloud Operations Engineer who has experience in leading SRE and operational teams to improve operational outcomes. Lead our important platform support and operations team that will focus on delivering capabilities on our platform, and ensuring that end to end we deliver extraordinary outcomes for all the applications deployed on the platform. Bring the detailed knowlege and ability to roll sleeves up and go hands on to handle problems if needed, but in this role one will be much more focus on leading and developing skills within a the team.Partner with functional, technical and security teams to understand cloud adoption challenges, work through applications onboarding and provides solutions that can be adopted widely.
Requirements
Desired Work Experience:
- 3+ years of experience implementing and supporting Nagios XI
- 4+ years of experience in systems monitoring and inventory management
- Need to have 3+ years of experience with cloud development kits (Infrastructure as code practice)
- At least 2 years' experience in a similar environment
- Well acquainted with in AWS VPC, EC2, Lambda, RDS, DMS, Directory services, Backup, S3, SSM, API Gateway, SNS/SQS, Elastic Beanstalk , ECR/ECS, Quick sight; Scripting in Python or Bash & Puppet - at least to a basic level
- Licensing or Certifications for Cloud Operations Engineer
- Relevant Experience in Momentum Metropolitan Heath Infrastructure environment an advantage
- Experience in the Medical Aid world will be an advantage
- Momentum Heath Solutions Representative in Momemontum Metropolitan Heath Cloud guild meetings. (Aligning with Cloud Strategy)
- Working closely with the Momentum Heath Solutions Software Architects, Business Unit Leaders & Infrastructure Architects to deliver cloud infrastructure solutions to meet the needs of the Momentum Heath Solutions customer community.
- Participate in the management and monitoring of all cloud infrastructure, including weekend deployments of production and OS updates as needed.
- Support multiple aspects our hosting environments while working towards being a lead expert in areas.
- Prioritize and work on Service and Incidents tickets relating to Cloud Services.
- Provide Customer Service including escalated support for problems and issues.
- Provide technical skills in an Operations team for a SaaS/Cambridge based start-up.
- Design, build and maintain highly available systems for a SaaS product.
- Develop and maintain automation for server and application build, test and deploy.
- Configure and deploy monitoring tools and scripts for systems and applications.
- Provide effective communication of projects and tasks to the Operations team and stakeholders in other departments.
- Ensure that data are secure and protecting as per governance regulations.
- Ability to lead & manage a small technical team.
- Solid ability to understand the infrastructure stack top to bottom.
- Experience providing support for Linux & Windows systems.
- Database experience- we work with across the business in cloud: Postgres, Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, DynamoDB(MongoDB)
- Knowledge of setup/provisioning of server environments in support of application purposes.
- xperience with troubleshooting application related issues
- Experience deploying applications is preferred, and experience with automated deployment tools is a plus.

- Perform root cause analysis on critical incidents and events with servers and networks and provide technical support (for virtual and non-virtual environments).
