Were looking for a creative Senior Copywriter with no less that 5 years of traditional advertising agency experience. This is a permanent position with a blend of four days in office and one day of remote work to fuel your creativity. Youll be writing copy for ATL, BTL and digital elements on iconic brands such as Cape Union Mart, K-Way, Old Khaki and more.
Note, were looking for a traditional conceptual copywriter (and not a journalist) to write engaging copy that builds our brands and drives customers to our websites and stores; NOT for writing blogs or product copy on our Ecomm websites.
Requirements
Duties and Responsibilities
- Write creative copy on premium brands, across elements ranging from marketing emailers and social media to TV, print ads, radio, in-store collateral, paid media, events and more
- Brainstorm ideas and creative campaign concepts
- Put together conceptual campaign presentations and present your ideas to our management team
- Craft copy and content according to the brief, the brand and creative idea
- Develop and roll out creative ideas across multiple platforms and media
- Play a major part in pushing the creative envelope to deliver the wow factor in our creative work
- Write fresh copy that connects with our audience and drives action
- Assist with editing and proofreading copy
- Collaborate with Art Directors and Graphic Designers, plus the Marketing, Ecomm and Merchandise teams
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a high-volume workload, often requiring short turnaround times
- Be adept at varying the voice and style of messaging based on the brand and audience
- Must have no less than 5 years of traditional advertising agency experience as a copywriter (preferably more than 7 years of total copywriting experience)
- Must have a copywriting portfolio of work (were especially looking for conceptual ideas, campaigns, headlines, punchy bodycopy and versatility from video or radio scripts to print ads and social media or emails)
- Relevant degree/diploma in Copywriting, Advertising or Digital Marketing
- ATL, BTL and digital copywriting expertise
- Copywriting experience on outdoor, fashion or retail brands is an advantage
