Role Overview
This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a multi-currency environment and has a passion for consolidations and systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for group level financial reporting and consolidation, working closely with the External Group Reporting Manager and other department heads to ensure key objectives are met.
The Group Consolidation Accountant role consists of the following:
- Prepare monthly group consolidations and management accounts
- Provide audit management support to the External Reporting Manager
- Ensure integrity and consistency of data underlying reporting
- Drive efficiency/automation of reporting and timeliness/availability of reports
- Direct management of accounting staff
- Uphold the values of the Company
Qualifications and Experience:
- CA(SA) with minimum 5 years post qualification experience
- Extensive IFRS accounting experience
- Experience working in emerging markets and in multi-currency environments
- Must have multi currency experience
- Ability to work with unstructured data
- Proven experience of process implementation and process improvement in a financial reporting and consolidation context e.g. intercompany control
- Proficiency in Xero, Netsuite, and Datarails is highly desirable
