Key Responsibilities
- Study design briefs, determine requirements and come up with design concepts.
- Oversee conceptualization of design projects.
- Create execution plans for projects and see them through to completion.
- Ensure the design team and junior designers are producing quality work and mentor them.
- Conceptualise original and unique designs and illustrations.
- Choose the right images, typography, graphics and layouts for the project.
- Ensure the products created are user-friendly and convey brand consistency with all projects.
- Coordinate between marketing and design teams to ensure smooth flow of work an.
- Stay up to date with the changing trends in the field and best practices.
- Prepare rough drafts and present ideas
- Develop illustrations, logos and other designs using software or by hand
- Work on design templates, presentations and brand guidelines
- Use the appropriate colors and layouts for each graphic
- Work with copywriters and creative director to produce final designs.
- Test graphics across various media.
- Amend designs after feedback
- Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand
- Extensive experience in graphic design
- minimum 6 years experience in a creative agency
- Strong conceptual ideas
- Worked on building brands and brand guidelines
- A strong portfolio of illustrations, other graphics, and/or compelling layouts.
- Familiarity with design software (such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- A keen eye for aesthetics and details
- Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
- A degree in Design, Fine Arts, or related field is a plus
- Good communication and verbal skills.
