In this role, you will assist with all aspects of the internal investment processes and related administrative aspects of the fund management process. The focus will be on all aspects of risk within the Funds that the organisation manages, this includes Credit Risk, Legal Risk, Liquidity Risk, ESG, and all Mandate & Regulatory Compliance aspects for the Cape Town office.
Due to the growing nature of the business, there is scope for the individual to create success and grow into a more senior role whereby overseeing all business credit and risk functions will be part of the scope,
Key Qualifying Criteria for the Senior Credit Analyst:
- CA (SA), CFA or degree in law
- 3 years experience in a Bank or Credit focused Asset Manager
- Worked in a Credit position or alongside a team of Deal-makers
- Able to analyse corporate credit for mid-sized businesses (advantageous)
- Observe and analyse all credit exposure monthly. This will include assessing covenants, analysing management accounts, monitoring portfolio expiries etc.
- Co-ordinate and support the completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual risk reports
- Oversee completion forecast cash flows
- Ensure legal processes are followed and executed
- Analysis of new proposed loans for mainly mid-size businesses
- Liaise with external compliance parties and oversee all compliance requirements
