Area: Onsite in Cape Town
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive client data product, ensuring data accuracy and accessibility.
- Build robust data models and create reusable data assets for multiple business units.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate requirements into actionable solutions.
- Design and implement efficient data pipelines and processes.
- Create and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights.
- Monitor data quality and performance, identifying and resolving issues promptly.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
- Strong foundation in data modeling and database design.
- Proficiency in SQL, Power BI, and cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure Synapse Analytics).
- Experience with data warehousing and ETL/ELT processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks).
- Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices.
