A well-known plastics injection moulding packaging manufacturing company requires the above to ensure the efficient operation of all the mechanical and electrical aspects of all their injection moulding and automated printing lines ensuring they are maintained in order for the factory to manufacture products to clients timeously. Minimum requirements for the role:
- An Electrical or Millwright qualification is preferred but not essential.
- Previous experience having worked as an Electrician working within a manufacturing plant is essential.
- Previous experience having worked as an all-rounded electrician working with injection moulding and automated printing lines is preferred but not essential.
- Exposure to PLC fault-finding is preferred but not essential.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a team are essential.
- Must be attentive to detail and be able to work under pressure.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
- Must have excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Effective communication skills for client interaction and reporting.
- Ensuring the efficient operation of all the mechanical and electrical aspects of all their injection moulding and automated printing lines ensuring they are maintained in order for the factory to manufacture products to clients timeously.
- Managing and focusing on handling mostly maintenance, and reinstallations of equipment working on the reliability of injection moulding and automated printing line equipment.
- Developing and implementing comprehensive preventive maintenance schedules to maximize equipment lifespan and performance.
- Conducting routine inspections and maintenance tasks to identify and address potential issues proactively.
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and control system issues on the equipment.
- Performing timely and effective repairs to minimize downtime and optimize system efficiency.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation of all maintenance activities, including service reports, inspection records, and equipment manuals.
- Providing detailed reports to management regarding system performance, maintenance activities, and recommendations for improvements.
- Adhering to and promoting strict health and safety protocols in all work activities.
- Ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
