Our client is on the lookout for a seasoned Energy Engineer with a strong portfolio of experience specialising in IPP renewable energy projects, spanning from feasibility studies to successful commissioning. They are a leading IPP in the renewable energy sector with a diverse portfolio of energy projects. Their key focus is on developing and operating facilities that harness wind and solar power along with distributed generation.
As the ideal candidate, you have 6+ years of experience collaborating with technical teams and different stakeholders, including contractors and suppliers, to deliver impactful technical solutions. If youre PMP and/or Pr. Eng registered, youre just the person we need!
In this role, you will take the reins of project leadership, guiding initiatives from start to finish while skilfully managing timelines and budgets. Your design expertise will come into play as you craft innovative solutions that enhance operational performance. With your analytical problem-solving skills, you will conduct power calculations and analyse energy production data to identify inefficiencies and optimise renewable energy systems.
Your ability to prepare comprehensive reports and proposals will be essential in conveying your technical insights and strategic vision to stakeholders.

Education Requirements
- BEng./BSc. in Electrical Engineering
- PMP and/or Pr.Eng registration highly advantageous
- MBA highly advantageous
- Minimum of 3 years of experience specifically in the renewable energy sector, demonstrating a strong understanding of industry practices and solar PV, wind, and BESS technologies
- 6+ years of experience in designing and managing engineering projects, ensuring successful delivery
- Proven track record in sourcing materials, estimating project costs, and effectively managing budgets to ensure project financial health
- Proven ability to engage hands-on with contractors, ensuring that all elements adhere to rigorous design specifications and quality standards
- Engineering Design Delivery: Deliver detailed engineering designs and solutions that comply with safety standards and regulations throughout the project lifecycle
- Project Management: Complete energy projects on time and within budget, effectively managing technical relationships and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams
- Budget Management: Effectively manage project budgets, focusing on cost recovery while identifying opportunities for savings in renewable energy initiatives
- Health and Safety Compliance: Prioritise safety in the workplace by ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting training, and managing hazards proactively
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to engineering standards and relevant regulatory requirements, fostering a culture of accountability within the engineering team
