Smartwyre Finance team is looking for a qualified CA(SA)/CIMA, tech savvy and proactive accountant to join our remote team. You will be looking after the global accounting tasks and ensure smooth running of the Finance operations within the business.

You will have an opportunity to get involved in internal projects like system implementation, international taxes and analytics. Duties include but are not limited to:
  • First point of contact for Finance
  • AP and AR management
  • Month End and Production of monthly management account.
  • Manage and process the Global payroll; Manage payroll taxes
  • Improve processes and implement tight control on spending.
  • Treasury management
  • Assist with the Budgets and Forecasts
  • Project manage the implementation of a new Finance system.
  • Assist in the R&D tax calculations
  • Liaise with external tax accountants as required
  • Produce various reports and analyses for the business as required.
  • Assist in state tax registrations and submissions in the US.
  • Systems management
  • Other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications and experience:

Accounting qualification CIMA, CA(SA)

Minimum Of 3 Years Relevant Experience.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Advanced Excel and other Microsoft office tools.

Tech savvy person that understands how finance systems work and integrate

Experience working in a SaaS tech start-up/ scale up environment is beneficial but not essential

Exposure to US accounting would be beneficial

Experience implementing NetSuite, Dynamics or other Finance systems would be beneficial.
